Victory Moon completes the Guineas and Derby double by winning the UAE Derby G2 at Nad Al Sheba over 2000m by 0.5 lengths from Songlark with Inamorato another 2.75 lengths back in 3rd.

"Now we're not so sure about his plans and may have to send him to Europe. We turned down a million dollars for him - what's he worth now? I was worried coming into the straight and didn't want him to come off the bridle, but they eased in on him. He's mighty tough and came back at them"
- Trainer Mike de Kock

"Well done Dean Maroun and your team for bringing Victory Moon back to South Africa - he is a credit to the local industry, and as I promised you two years ago, we will be supporting him this year as a token of our appreciation for the fact that you were not tempted by the international money when it was available. We wish you well with him - he has let down into a very smart horse, and is a credit to South African breeding. We are also proud to be directly associated with him through the fact that his mother Dancing Flower is a daughter of one of our foundation mares. He has a lot of his grandmother in his head, and if he can throw horses that look like him we will be a lucky country."
